Elgin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Elgin, TX is seeking an experienced RN Charge Nurse to lead the nursing team and ensure high‑quality resident care based on individualized care plans and assessments.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited RN program with an active Texas license and prior experience in a skilled nursing or long‑term care setting. This full‑time role involves rounds, medication administration, and collaboration with physicians.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing in Texas.
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited RN program.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, assess, and document resident conditions during rounds.
• Implement and follow care plans as directed.
• Administer prescribed medications accurately.
• Participate in physician rounds and chart visits.
• Perform narcotic reconciliation between shifts.
• Oversee and support nursing aides during shift.
• Complete incident and accident reports as required.
• Conduct resident discharges per procedures.
• Complete nursing assessments before contacting physicians.
• Communicate health updates clearly with residents and families.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by Director of Nursing or Administrator.
