Job summary

Assisting Hands Home Care is seeking caregivers to support a lady with dementia and another recovering from a stroke in the Manassas area. The role runs Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with responsibilities including personal care, mobility support, companionship, and light housekeeping.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of caregiving experience or a PCA/HHA/CNA certificate, CPR certification, and the ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• One year of caregiving experience or a valid PCA/HHA/CNA credential.
• Experience with dementia and/or stroke care preferred.
• CPR certification.
• TB screening with negative result.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Reliable personal transportation and valid driver's license with insurance.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs and assist with transfers.
• Availability Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Personal Care Assistance (bathing, grooming, toileting, feeding).
• Transferring, lifting and mobility assistance.
• Light housekeeping.
• Grocery shopping and meal preparation.
• Companionship and supervision.
• Medication reminders.
• Transportation to doctor appointments and errands.
• Documentation in client records after each visit.
