Responsibilities

• Assist lead planner throughout the wedding day, including setup, main event coordination, and teardown
• Communicate and coordinate with vendors, the lead, and the couple on the day-of
• Support the couple and their guests, ensuring they feel cared for and calm
• Help maintain event timelines and troubleshoot any unexpected situations with a composed, solutions-focused approach
• Contribute to a smooth, positive team environment on long event days
• Act as a backup lead coordinator in case of emergency

About the Role:

We’re looking for part-time, seasonal Wedding Planning Assistants to support our lead planners on wedding days. You'll play a key role in creating seamless, memorable experiences for our couples by helping execute all aspects of the wedding day with care and enthusiasm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist lead planner throughout the wedding day, including setup, main event coordination, and teardown
• Communicate and coordinate with vendors, the lead, and the couple on the day-of
• Support the couple and their guests, ensuring they feel cared for and calm
• Help maintain event timelines and troubleshoot any unexpected situations with a composed, solutions-focused approach
• Contribute to a smooth, positive team environment on long event days
• Act as a backup lead coordinator in case of emergency

Who You Are:

• Enthusiastic, adaptable, and eager to learn — no previous wedding experience required
• Comfortable working nights, weekends, and long event days (Fridays and other weekdays would be awesome but not required)
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to stay calm under pressure
• A people person who enjoys being part of a team
• Comfortable walking 10,000-22,000 steps in a single day (we average 15,000 steps!)
• Comfortable driving to/from locations up to 1 hour away from home in most weather/lighting
• Must be LGBTQIA+ friendly

Compensation & Growth:

• $20/hour
