Job summary

Anya Drew Event Cinematography is seeking qualified freelance wedding filmmakers to join our team. Most shoots are 6–8 hours and compensation is up to $50/hour; you will serve as the primary and often sole filmmaker, with 2-camera coverage during the ceremony and 1-camera for the remainder of the day.

Applicants must have shot at least 10 weddings solo, provide raw footage samples, proof of liability insurance, and own essential gear (2x4k cameras, lenses, mics, tripods, gimbal).

Qualifications

• Provide samples of raw unedited footage from recent weddings shot solo.
• Demonstrate 2-camera angles during the ceremony and audio from ceremony and reception.
• Provide proof of liability insurance.
• Own 2x4k cameras (Sony alpha preferred).
• Have a variety of fast lenses and enough batteries/memory cards for 8 hours.
• Ensure 2 lav mics with recorders and at least 1 shotgun mic.
• Carry 2 sturdy tripods and a slider or gimbal.
• Have a reliable vehicle and driver’s license.
• Availability to work Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
• Be on call with the possibility of double rate when called.

Job Description

Anya Drew Event Cinematography is looking to hire qualified, freelance wedding filmmakers in your area! Most shoots are between 6-8 hours and the pay is up to $50/hour. You must be comfortable as the primary and only filmmaker on the day and you must be able to demonstrate prior experience in this role. We require 2 camera coverage during the ceremony but the rest of the day 1 camera is usually fine. Please do not apply if you haven’t shot at least 10 weddings on your own.

Qualifications

You Must Provide:

Samples of raw un-edited footage from recent weddings that you have shot solo. We need to see 2 camera angles of the ceremony. We also need to hear the audio from ceremony and reception.

Proof of liability insurance.

What you need:

• (2) 4k cameras (Sony alpha preferred).
• Variety of fast lenses
• Enough batteries and memory cards to last 8 hours w/out charging.
• 2 lav mics with recorders (Zoom H1 or similar)
• At least 1 shotgun mic
• 2 sturdy tripods
• Slider or Gimbal
• Reliable vehicle and driver’s license
• Reliable cell phone
• Availability to work Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays
• Willing to be on call as a back up (you get double the rate if called on).
