Thimble Alterations is looking for independent alteration professionals specializing in bridal and wedding wear. You will alter various types of formalwear, conduct fittings, and ensure high-quality finishes.

This independent contractor role allows you to work from home with flexibility in accepting jobs. You'll have the opportunity to grow repeat clients through our platform. Strong experience in alterations and garment construction is required.

Competenze

• Proven experience with bridal and/or women's formalwear alterations.
• Strong garment construction knowledge.
• Machine and hand sewing proficiency.

Join our network of independent alteration professionals specializing in bridal and wedding wear.

What You’ll Do

• Alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother‑of‑the‑bride/groom dresses (hemming, bustle, bodice/waist, straps, cups, zippers)
• Work with structured bridal gowns (multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, boning/tulle)
• Conduct fittings, take precise measurements, and communicate timelines clearly
• Deliver high‑quality finishing and maintain an organized workspace suitable for fittings

We also receive requests for prom dresses, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, suits, and other formalwear.

Requirements

• Proven experience with bridal and/or women's formalwear alterations
• Strong garment construction knowledge + precision measuring
• Machine + hand sewing proficiencyProfessional communication and customer service
