Job summary

Leigh & Co. Events is seeking a Lead Wedding Coordinator for the 2026 season and beyond. This contract role offers flexible scheduling and training provided. Pay is $400 per project (10–12 hours). The role is primarily onsite, leading planning and execution for weddings.

You will work with client experience managers and assistant coordinators to ensure flawless events, managing logistics, vendors, and guest experience from setup to breakdown.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a wedding planner or event planner.
• Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Reliable transportation to job sites.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Attend final details call with clients about 6 weeks before wedding.
• Lead the ceremony rehearsal the day before the wedding.
• Serve as the primary on-site advocate for the couple.
• Oversee ceremony and reception setup per design and playbook.
• Manage full wedding day execution from vendor arrival to breakdown.
• Greet and direct vendors; be main day contact.
• Communicate setup instructions clearly to vendors.
• Coordinate placement of escort cards, menus, table numbers, and decor.
• Support wedding party and family with timing cues and needs.
• Ensure end-of-event items are packed and accounted for.
• Proactively resolve issues for a smooth guest experience.
• Weekend work is essential.
• Must have 2 years' experience; strong communication; reliability; lift capacity.

Leigh & Co. Events is a fast-growing wedding planning company - we are looking for planners. We provide wedding design, wedding coordination and planning services for engaged couples. The Lead Wedding Coordinator position is an exciting opportunity for those looking to be a wedding planner. This position is acontractrole and you can pick your own schedule! Training is provided. Pay is $400 for a total of 10-12 hours and is paid per project. We’re looking for individuals to join for this 2026 season and beyond.

This position will serve as a lead planner to provide wedding planning services for couples, primarily onsite. You will work alongside our client experience managers during the planning and assistant coordinators onsite to provide the following to execute weddings.

• Attend a final details call with clients approximately 6 weeks prior to the wedding to confirm logistics, timeline, and expectations

• Lead and facilitate the ceremony rehearsal on the day prior to the wedding, ensuring all participants are confident in timing, processional flow, and key cues

• Serve as the primary advocate for the couple onsite - maintaining a calm, solutions-focused presence and supporting them through any challenges that arise

• Oversee ceremony and reception setup in alignment with the event design and our day-of execution playbook

• Manage full wedding day execution from initial vendor arrival through final breakdown at the end of the evening

• Greet, direct, and act as the main point of contact for all vendors

• Communicate setup instructions clearly to vendors to ensure alignment with the event plan

• Coordinate and assist with placement of personal and event details including escort cards, menus, table numbers, favors, guest book, and décor elements

• Support the wedding party and family members with guidance, timing cues, and any day-of needs

• Ensure all end-of-event items (gifts, guest book, personal décor, etc.) are properly packed and accounted for

• Proactively manage and resolve any issues or last-minute changes to maintain a smooth guest experience

• Ability to work weekends is essential

• Must have 2 years experience as a wedding planner or event planner

• Must have strong communication skills and be detail oriented

• Must have reliable transportation

• Must be able to carry and lift 30 lbs.
