Wedgewood Weddings is seeking a part-time Banquet Captain in National City, CA to lead event execution, coordinate staff and vendors, and ensure smooth, memorable celebrations.

You will mentor team members, manage timelines, and proactively address challenges to maintain exceptional service and guest satisfaction, while upholding health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Banquet Captain or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry, ideally with weddings/events.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills for managing staff and timelines.
• A focus on delivering flawless guest experiences and attention to detail.

What you’ll do:

Take the lead in event execution: Oversee event setups, coordinate with vendors, direct event staff, manage timelines, and ensure seamless execution

Who we’re looking for:

Experience : Previous experience as a Banquet Captain or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry, ideally with a focus on weddings and events

Master Multitaske r: Expertly handle setups, client interactions, an ever changing timeline and team leadership like a seasoned pro

Passion for Excellence : A strong drive to create flawless experiences and exceed guest expectations

Attention to detail : Sharp eye for detail and aesthetics to ensure every setup surpasses client expectations

Leadership: Proven leadership skills with a proactive and hands-on approach to problem-solving

Additional Information:

Physical requirements – will include lifting up to 50 pounds,lifting chairs,moving tables and assisting with banquet set-up and tear-down. Must be able to drive a company vehicle.

The important extras:

As is typical in the hospitality industry, this position requires regular availability to work evening, weekend, and holiday shifts, as well as shifts of more than 8 hours and workweeks of more than 40 hours.
