A staffing and professional services provider is seeking a skilled WebSphere system administrator to ensure the smooth operation of the WebSphere runtime environment. Candidates should have 4-8 years of experience with web-based applications and service-oriented architectures, as well as strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Responsibilities include installation, configuration, and operational support of environments, alongside monitoring performance and maintaining documentation. A degree in Electrical/Electronic or Computer Engineering is required, with an M.S. preferred.
Qualifications
4-8 years experience with Web-based applications and service-oriented architectures.
Strong familiarity with TCP/IP networking and disaster recovery procedures.
Ability to monitor application server performance and respond appropriately.
Responsibilities
Perform installation and configuration of WebSphere runtime environment.
Provide operational support for various environments (production, staging, etc.).
Work with development staff to determine project requirements.
Maintain technical documentation for system software applications.
