Job summary

A staffing and professional services provider is seeking a skilled WebSphere system administrator to ensure the smooth operation of the WebSphere runtime environment. Candidates should have 4-8 years of experience with web-based applications and service-oriented architectures, as well as strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Responsibilities include installation, configuration, and operational support of environments, alongside monitoring performance and maintaining documentation. A degree in Electrical/Electronic or Computer Engineering is required, with an M.S. preferred.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years experience with Web-based applications and service-oriented architectures.
• Strong familiarity with TCP/IP networking and disaster recovery procedures.
• Ability to monitor application server performance and respond appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation and configuration of WebSphere runtime environment.
• Provide operational support for various environments (production, staging, etc.).
• Work with development staff to determine project requirements.
• Maintain technical documentation for system software applications.
