Job summary

A technology solutions provider in Columbia, South Carolina is seeking a skilled professional to manage IBM Integration Bus and WebSphere MQ installations. Candidates should have 5 to 8 years of experience in installation, configuration, and performance tuning. Responsibilities include managing queue managers, administration of users, and assisting developers with troubleshooting. A Bachelor's degree or higher is preferred, and excellent communication skills are necessary. This is a full-time position requiring U.S. citizenship or work authorization.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years of experience in installation and configuration of IBM Integration Bus.
• 2 years experience with IIB 9.0.
• 2 years experience with MQ 7.5.
• Hands-on experience with IBM Websphere Message Broker.

Responsibilities

• Manage queue managers and broker instances in various environments.
• Perform installation and recovery of queue managers.
• Conduct performance tuning and configuration changes.
• Assist with troubleshooting applications connected to IBM platforms.
• Handle requests coming into the admin mailbox and change management system.

Job description

• 5 to 8 years of experience required in the installation, configuration, performance & tuning, maintenance, and upgrading of IBM Integration Bus, WebSphere MQ and DataPower Technologies.
• Care and feeding of the queue managers and broker instances in all environments
• Installation, retirement, and recovery of new queue managers and broker instances
• Routine administration functions including moves/adds/changes to queues
• Performance tuning and configuration changes to MQ and IIB installations
• Deployments of workflows to IIB
• Aid developers in application troubleshooting for apps that connect to these platforms
• Administration of users and alerts in IR360
• Responding to all emails, tickets, and customer requests coming into our admin mailbox, through our change management system, service catalog, etc.
• 5+ Websphere Application Server Administration
• 2 years experience on IIB 9.0 IBM Integration Bus or Message Broker
• 2 years experience on MQ 7.5 IBM WebSphere MQ
• Experience in Data Power security components
• Hands-on experience in: IBM Websphere Message Broker, IBM MQ, ESQL
• Ideally experience with message mapping / transformation and other MQ based STP interfaces
• Excellent Verbal, Written communications skills required.
