Job summary

Ferrovial's Webber division in the United States seeks a Project Engineer to drive project success through technical excellence and coordinated teamwork. You will support the Project Manager and Superintendent, contribute to planning, tracking, and cost reporting, and spend 20%–30% of time in the field.

The position requires a Civil Engineering or related degree and at least 3 years of heavy civil construction experience, with strong skills in MS Excel and Primavera P6.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or similar field.
  • Minimum 3+ years of heavy civil construction experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and Primavera P6.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent with planning, organizing, and tracking.
  • Maintain project logs, submittals, RFIs, and cost reports.
  • Coordinate with owners, client representatives, and subcontractors.
  • Manage self-perform, subcontractor work, and supplier deliveries.
  • Read and interpret project plans, specifications, and safety rules.

Your Role

Driving excellence through technical expertise and innovation. The Project Engineer provides support to the Project Manager and the Project superintendent. The support goals include goal setting, planning, communicating, organizing, implementing, and tracking. The Project Engineer is in the field 20%-30% of the time.

What You Will Do
  • Acquiring, organizing, reviewing and distributing project submittals & RFIs.
  • Creating and maintaining all required Project Logs and takeoffs.
  • Communicating with the owner and client representatives.
  • Maintaining project budgets and complete required cost reports.
  • Scheduling self–perform, subcontractor work and supplier material deliveries.
  • Reading and interpreting documents such as project plans and specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Who You Are
  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar degree.
  • 3+ years of heavy civil construction experience.
  • Moderate to high level of proficiency operating MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint, and Primavera 6.
