Qualifications

• 12-week internship in Webber's Construction Services Department.
• Support for Concrete Paving, Barrier Wall, Precast Concrete, Asset Management, and Geotechnical.
• Assist with goal setting, planning, communication, organizing, implementing and tracking.

Responsibilities

• Organize cost, schedules, projections, policies and initiatives for construction services.
• Coordinate with project teams on construction services activities.
• Assist pre-bid estimating for construction services work.
• Support scheduling and tracking of quantities and costs.
• Publish monthly reports and maintain logs.
• Assist with takeoffs and pricing with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Coordinate material deliveries and ensure quality control compliance.
• Support field operations and crews coordination.

Your Role: Driving excellence through technical expertise and innovation

The Intern will join our Construction Services Department for a 12-week internship providing on-hand support to our 5 different services. As an intern, you will have similar responsibilities to those of an entry-level Construction Services Engineer providing support to the Construction Services Director as well as managers and engineers of Concrete Paving, Barrier Wall, Precast Concrete, Asset Management, and Geotechnical departments. The support goals include Goal Setting, Planning, Communicating, Organizing, Implementing, and Tracking to ensure highway and bridge construction projects are well planned and successfully executed. Additionally, as a Webber team member, you will have the opportunity to participate in various company events and community initiatives.

What You Will Do:

• Acquire, organize, review and distribute information to the construction services group in regards to cost, schedules, projections, policies and new initiatives
• Maintain communication with project teams in regards to all construction services activities
• Work with estimating pre-bid in regards to construction services work activities production and pricing.
• Work with project teams in regards to construction services work activities such as scheduling, and quantity/cost tracking
• Assist construction services groups in updating, maintaining, publishing monthly reports
• Create and maintain all required logs as necessary
• Assist different groups with Takeoffs related to construction services activities
• Calculate pricing and issue contracts and purchase orders for subcontractors and suppliers
• Assist scheduling Material Deliveries such as Aggregates, Mesh, Shotcrete, etc. as required
• Assist Construction Services Groups with Quality Control compliance of the various operations
• Assist with Field Operations and coordination of crews
