Job summary

Ferrovial in the United States is seeking a Supervisor/Foreman to support Webber, part of Ferrovial Construction, on heavy civil projects. This entry-level supervisory path offers hands-on learning under experienced foremen and a clear path to leadership.

You will perform essential field tasks, follow safety policies, and help coordinate crews. The position requires physical work, teamwork, and a commitment to project timelines and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of safety policies and procedures.
  • Team-oriented with willingness to lead others.
  • Three or more years construction experience preferred.
  • Physical ability for heavy work.

Responsibilities

  • Digging, spreading and leveling dirt, sand and gravel using a pick, shovel or rake.
  • Lift, carry and hold construction materials, tools and supplies.
  • Clean tools, equipment, materials and work area.
  • Mix, pour and spread concrete, asphalt, gravel and other materials using hand tools.
  • Join, wrap and seal sections of pipe.
  • Perform a variety of routine non-machine tasks such as removing forms, filling excavations, placing pipe sections in trench and assembling sections of pipe.
  • Perform a variety of machine tasks such as tapping soil, jack hammering and assisting in the fusing of pipe.

Job Description:

Supervisor: Foreman

Job Description: Assist Foreman and skilled craft workers in performing their assigned duties under close supervision. Usually an entry level position as the first step to learn a skill

Essential functions and responsibilities:

Requirements:
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Safety Policies and Practices : The employee in this job must be knowledgeable about and follow the company's safety policies and procedures as described in the company's safety manual.

Education: less than High School Diploma.

Experience: three or more years related construction experience preferred.

Physical Activity Level: Heavy physical activity performing strenuous day activities of a primarily productive/technical nature.

Manual Dexterity: Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers. Ability to perceive attributes of objects and materials.

Working Conditions: Outdoor exposure to changing weather conditions (rain, sun, snow, wind, etc.)

Work Environment: The work environment/physical demands characteristics described here are representative of those the employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
