Job summary

Braintrust is hiring a QA Engineer to own manual and automated testing for web and mobile apps, with a focus on Web3 wallet interactions and on-chain vs off-chain behavior. You will design tests, report bugs with clear steps, and collaborate across time zones in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 3–5 years of QA experience, proficiency in scripting (TS/JS/Python), and strong test strategies. Remote-friendly with global teams and a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in QA/quality engineering, hands‑on with both manual/functional and automated testing.
• Experience testing web and mobile apps, including cross-browser (Chrome, Safari, etc.) and cross-device verification.
• Solid test-case design, execution, and regression testing discipline (able to own recurring daily/regression sweeps).
• Working knowledge of core Web3 flows: wallet connections (MetaMask, Trust Wallet, WalletConnect), transaction signing, and on‑chain vs off‑chain behavior. Need to have smart contract + wallet testing experience.
• Experience testing third‑party/exchange (CEX) integrations end to end (e.g. Coinbase‑style connect flows).
• Comfortable setting up and managing test accounts, credentials, and environments.
• Clear, reproducible bug reporting and tracking in Linear (or Jira), with crisp repro steps and evidence.
• Scripting ability in TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python at a working level.
• Strong written English and ability to collaborate across US/Europe/India
