General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Web Server Administrator to install, patch, and manage web servers (Apache, Nginx, IIS) in a TS/SCI with Poly environment.

You will ensure high availability, security, and compliant operations across development and IT teams. The role requires 3+ years of related experience, scripting skills (Bash, Python, PowerShell), and familiarity with DNS/SSL, monitoring, and backup/recovery.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related IT experience
• Top Secret SCI + Poly clearance
• US citizenship required
• Level II 8570 Certification (Security+ CE or equivalent)
• Proficiency in scripting languages and networking concepts
• Experience with web servers and backups

Responsibilities

• Install and configure web server software (e.g., Apache, Nginx, IIS) and related components
• Regularly update and patch web servers to ensure they are secure and performing optimally
• Monitor server performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability
• Implement and maintain security measures to protect web servers from threats
• Manage backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability
• Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, procedures, and policies
• Work closely with development and IT teams to support web application deployments
• Provide support to users and developers for web server-related issues

• Manage backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability in case of server failure.
• Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, procedures, and policies.
• Work closely with development and IT teams to support web application deployments and ensure smooth operation.
• Provide support to users and developers for web server-related issues and inquiries.
• Manage and resolve support tickets in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring user satisfaction.
• Provide excellent customer service by effectively communicating with users and stakeholders, addressing their concerns, and providing solutions.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline server management tasks.
• Ensure that web server operations comply with organizational policies and industry standards. Maintain compliance with DISA (Defense Information Systems Agency) standards and guidelines.
• Be available for on-call support outside regular business hours to address urgent issues and ensure continuous operation of web services.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree
• Experience: 3+ years of related experience
• Security clearance level: TS/SCI w/Poly
• US citizenship required
• Level II 8570 Certification (Security+ CE or equivalent)
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell). Strong understanding of network protocols, DNS, SSL/TLS, and web security practices. Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL). Experience with monitoring tools and performance tuning. Knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).

The likely salary range for this position is $102,000 - $138,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Travel Required: Less than 10%
