Job summary

Talbots is seeking a Promotions Operations Specialist to code, test and execute promotions for the call center and website. You will collaborate with Planning, Brand Marketing, Customer Service and Web Development to ensure accuracy and timely changes in SFCC and related systems.

The role emphasizes cross-functional alignment, testing, documentation, and proactive monitoring of promotions using analytics, with on-site work at the Talbots office in Hingham, MA.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent ecommerce experience 1-3 years.
  • Experience with ecommerce web-based software, preferably Salesforce Business Manager.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience using session replay tools to identify customer friction (e.g., Quantum Metrics).
  • Must be able to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Cross-functional alignment of promotions across planning, merchandising, marketing, design, email, and online marketing.
  • Set up, test, and migrate promos in Salesforce SFCC and the call center system; verify live promotions in production.
  • Document and maintain promotional logs, test checklists, and data.
  • Review weekly customer feedback to identify promotional issues and friction patterns.
  • Monitor customer friction points using Quantum Metrics analytics and session replay.
  • Approve promotional creative and information for accuracy before and after development.
  • Assist Knoxville Customer Service with promotion issues and updates.
  • Stay informed on new Salesforce promo developments and how to apply them.

About the role

This position is responsible for coding, testing and execution of promotions for the call center and website. This position provides operational, technical and administrative support for promotions working with Company Planning, Brand Marketing, Customer Service & Web Development. This position ensures the highest level of accuracy in coding, testing, and implementing new promotions and changes to existing promotions in an ever-changing environment.

The impact you can have

  • Responsible for cross-functional alignment of promotions including planning/promotion, merchandising, Wdev, marketing, design (art and copy), email, and online marketing.

  • Ensure all operational processes are set up for success: Create, test, schedule/migrate promos in Salesforce (SFCC) and the call center promotion system. Verifying promotions in production once they are live.

  • Document and maintain promotional log, test case checklist and test data for all promotional information.

  • Review weekly customer feedback to identify promotional issues and identify customer friction patterns.

  • Proactively monitor, identify, and prioritize customer promotions frictions points using Quantum Metrics analytics and session replay tool.

  • Create, review and add to Microsoft Teams DISCLAIMERS to support promotions.

  • Responsible for approving promotional creative/information for accuracy prior to and after development. Promotion documentation, homepage on both desktop and mobile, emails and text messages.

  • Be proactive on new promotional developments coming out of salesforce and how we can use them.

  • Responsible to assist Knoxville Customer Service with promotion issues, information on new promotions and any updates.

You’ll bring to the role

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent ecommerce experience 1- 3 years

  • Experience with ecommerce web-based software, preferably Salesforce Business Manager

  • Must be able to work quickly and accurately in a deadline driven production environment that changes frequently and sometimes on short notice

  • Experience using session replay tools to identify customer friction opportunities e.g., Quantum Metrics

  • Excellent written and verbal skills

  • Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

  • A creative and exploratory mindset, open to finding new ways to test and identify problems

  • Requires a high level of concentration during constant interruptions

  • The ability to exercise good judgement and make recommendations for constant improvement

  • Ability to multitask in an ever-changing environment

  • Ability to work independently or as a team toward general goals

  • Ability to be flexible for off hours including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays to ensure any promotion issues are resolved quickly

  • The target salary range for this role is: $50,000 - $65,000

  • On-site :This position works on-site at least 4 days per week consistent with the needs of the businessat our Talbots office location in Hingham, MA.
