Job summary

Mittera Group is seeking a Web Second Press Operator to join our printing team in Reno, NV. The role focuses on setting up and operating web presses, ensuring color accuracy and meeting customer deadlines while maintaining quality and safety standards.

You will work with the Press Operator and crew to run jobs per specifications, perform routine maintenance, and support continuous improvement. This position emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and adherence to safety protocols in a dynamic print

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience as a multicolor web press operator preferred.
• Ability to lead and foster growth and development on the team.
• Knowledge of press set-up and maintenance procedures.
• Effective communications skills with all levels within the organization.
• Has basic computer skills.
• Must be self-motivated, reliable, and quality, safety oriented.
• Able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain web presses and all auxiliary equipment.
• Interpret color bars, star targets, side guide marks and slur indicators to control print quality.
• Promote, enforce and sustain safety and look for ways to improve the operation.
• Program correct color standards into CPC to make needed color adjustments.
• Achieve color OK (match/approval) to proofs.
• Facilitate teamwork on crews and between shifts.
• Ensure good housekeeping practices are followed.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on all assigned equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
