Job Title: Web IT Project Manager / Director

Job Description

Academic teaching hospital Medical Center is seeking a full-time, smart and enthusiastic Project Manager/Director to lead their massive web redesign project. In the role of Project Manager/Director you will be challenged with multiple software and web-based projects, which may have their own goals, obstacles and potential solutions.

• Possess knowledge and experience with UI best practices, proven fluency in semantic HTML5, jQuery/Javascript and familiarity with CMS such as Adobe CQ/Sitecore/Drupal required.
• Candidate will be responsible for the build out of entire sites from layered .psd files or HTML prototypes, typically on Drupal or WordPress CMS platforms. Candidate should also have experience with, and/or knowledge of web server hardware, site architecture, user interface requirements, web navigation, web page layout, cross platform issues, browser and platform compatibility and capability, animation, image compression, size and speed issues. Knowledge of PHP, firewalls, and other network/server security issues, as well as web-based electronic software are required.
• In addition, candidate must be a motivated self-starter with professional attitude, capable of interacting with clients when needed. Candidate must be personable and enjoy a collaborative environment.
• Work with the media and marketing team to translate new project ideas into clear requests for the engineering and creative teams
• Define project goals. Set project timelines based on resources and priorities
• Rally the team behind your project, discuss the project plan and "kick off" the project
• Manage the project processes between your team members and ensure that the project is moving according to your plan, and the overall roadmap
• Deal with roadblocks, bugs and competing projects to keep the creative and engineering queues flowing smoothly
• Be the point of contact for all project-related questions and requests

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills, and attention to detail
• Flexibility and multi-tasking skills to manage multiple projects and effectively address surprises
• Leadership ability; must be able to work with multiple stakeholders and deliver results
• Experience managing web design projects (e.g. sites, landing pages), and web application development projects (e.g. internal tools, third-party web service and XML integrations, HTML to CMS) that target multiple desktop and mobile browsers and operating systems
• Basic web troubleshooting skills (e.g. diagnose why tracking in HTML isn't working), and image manipulation skills (e.g. resize a bitmap optimized for the web)
• Strong analytical skills using tools such as Google Analytics, Optimizely, and Excel
• A discerning eye that is able to view, digest and help improve page and site design based on quantitative data
• Must be able to identify and resolve potential issues early on before they halt your project
• Knowledge of Scrum or similar Agile SDLC processes

Education/Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study
• At least 5 years experience in a Web environment, developing websites and front end UI.
