Job summary

JT in Fort Meade, MD seeks a Web Developer / Software Engineer (Level 1) to join a high-performing team delivering enterprise web services on AWS.

Take end-to-end ownership of features across UI, API, and data layers, shape architecture, and ensure secure, scalable cloud deployments. Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.

Must have HTML5, CSS3, REST, Linux deployment, and relational databases; knowledge of CI/CD, AWS services, and secure coding practices is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field plus 7+ years in software engineering on similar scope, or 11+ years without degree.
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
• DoD 8570 / 8140 IAM Level I certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CAP, GSLC).
• HTML5, CSS3, RESTful APIs; Linux deployment; relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain full-stack web apps (UI, API, DB) in Agile.
• Deploy, monitor, and support AWS production services; fix incidents.
• Produce architecture docs, interface designs, and technical proposals.
• Estimate tasks, plan sprints, and review code.
• Implement secure authentication and secure coding practices.
• Configure and operate Linux deployments; monitor services.
• Design and optimize relational DB schemas, indexes, and queries.
