Job summary

ActioNet, Inc. is seeking a Senior/SME Web Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain secure, scalable web applications supporting marine, aviation, and unmanned systems.

You will work across on‑premises and cloud environments, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver user‑focused digital solutions with modern UI/UX and robust APIs. The role requires 5+ years of experience in enterprise web development, strong front-end/back-end skills, and the ability to mentor junior developers.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience developing and maintaining enterprise web applications.
Experience in marine, aviation, or related operational environments preferred.
Design, develop, test, and maintain secure web applications in Windows, Linux, and cloud environments.
Strong front-end and back-end web development skills and responsive UI/UX design experience.
APIs, databases, and enterprise applications integration experience.
Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/IT or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain web-based applications and content management solutions for mission-critical systems.
Collaborate with customers, users, and teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and user docs.
Support modernization, cloud migration, and continuous improvement.
Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership.

ActioNet is looking for an experienced Senior/SME Web Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain secure, scalable web applications and content solutions supporting mission-critical marine, aviation, and unmanned systems. This role is responsible for developing modern, user-focused applications that operate across both on-premises and cloud-based environments while collaborating closely with stakeholders, designers, and technical teams to deliver high-quality digital solutions. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in full-stack web development, user interface design, application integration, and software development best practices.

Salary Range: 112,000-206,000

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain web-based applications and content management solutions supporting marine, aviation, and unmanned systems.
Collaborate with customers, users, business analysts, and technical teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
Develop responsive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces using modern web technologies and professional design tools.
Create visual, content-rich web experiences that follow established user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design principles.
Develop and maintain applications operating in both physical and cloud-based environments.
Build, integrate, and maintain RESTful APIs and web services supporting enterprise applications.
Develop secure, scalable, and maintainable code following software engineering best practices and organizational coding standards.
Perform application testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization throughout the software development lifecycle.
Generate application, website, and user analytics using custom or commercial reporting tools to support operational decision-making.
Support configuration management, version control, software releases, and change management activities.
Ensure applications comply with cybersecurity, accessibility, and federal security requirements.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, system diagrams, design specifications, and user documentation.
Support modernization initiatives, cloud migration efforts, and continuous improvement activities.
Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership on complex development efforts.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience developing and maintaining enterprise web applications. Candidates with 10 or more years of directly related experience are highly preferred.
Experience supporting marine, aviation, or related operational environments is preferred.
Demonstrated experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining secure web applications in Windows, Linux, and cloud environments.
Strong experience with front-end and back-end web development technologies.
Experience developing responsive web applications using modern UI/UX design principles.
Experience integrating APIs, databases, and enterprise applications.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Visual Design, Digital Design, or a related field from an accredited college or university is preferred.
