Job description

Engineers who can explain RabbitMQ to a skeptic and still ship by Friday tend to thrive in our Web Designer role in Charleston. The mid-level Web Designer role rewards range — Initiative, Cultural Awareness, 4 years — with $79,000 - $111,000 and a seat that grows beyond it.

Key Responsibilities

• Catch the TypeScript race conditions that only surface under Charleston peak traffic
• Untangle the Cultural Awareness dependency knots that have slowed Charleston releases for months
• Backfill Elasticsearch test coverage on the riskiest corners of JLL's codebase
• Sketch the Initiative architecture, defend it in review, then build the thing
• Automate build, test, and deployment pipelines for faster release cycles
• Prototype rough Initiative ideas fast, then decide which earn a place in JLL's stack
• Watch RabbitMQ error budgets and pump the brakes before Charleston, SC burns through them

What You'll Bring

• Curiosity and a continuous drive to sharpen your technology craft
• Practical command of Prioritization, with bonus points for Elasticsearch
• Hands-on command of Microservices, with Initiative as a close second
• The reliability that lets a manager stop checking in
• The self-awareness to know which problems are yours to solve
• Experience translating Rust complexity for a non-technical audience
• Comfort interpreting data and translating findings into clear recommendations

The performance-driven team behind JLL chose Charleston on purpose, betting that great technology work doesn't need a coastal zip code. Growth budgets at JLL are generous because a sharper RabbitMQ you means a stronger team.

We back $79,000 - $111,000 with a growth ladder, a mentor invested in your Initiative, and benefits that travel with you across Charleston, SC.
