Job description

A World-Changing Company

Palantir builds the world's leading software for data-driven decisions and operations. By bringing the right data to the people who need it, our platforms empower our partners to develop lifesaving drugs, forecast supply chain disruptions, locate missing children, and more.

The Role

The Palantir Communications Team is at the core of helping Palantir share our mission and products with the world. You will contribute to all aspects of our website's frontend design, content model, marketing software integration, and CI/CD publishing pipeline. You will act on your design instincts to help build the Palantir brand, while working across the business to bring different parts of the organization's story forward. Our website is intended to be dynamic, showcasing our diverse technological reach into a variety of different industries. It is updated often with news of our products and successes, and our CEO frequently communicates with customers and shareholders via the website.

You will work with TypeScript and React, creating the fundamental design principles to help individuals around the company craft frontend experiences which tell their story. Along with creating, you will advise designers and content creators on best web, UX, accessibility and SEO practices. You will work alongside leadership to create and maintain Next.js microsites, starting with mocks, and bringing them through development.

Palantir frequently finds itself a target of external threats, owing to the nature of our business. For that reason, our website publication pipeline has strong controls around access and review. You will need the necessary technical skills and creativity to build a site that is both elegant and secure.

Core Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain Palantir.com
  • Build and ship Next.js microsites, from mocks through to production
  • Establish and maintain the design system and shared components other content creators build on
  • Advise designers and content creators on web, UX, accessibility, and SEO best practices
  • Iterate with our Legal team on ongoing requirements as laws and the web evolve
  • Work with the rest of the Communications team to drive traffic with brand campaigns
  • Develop, review, and ship within our CI pipeline, maintaining its threat model as risks evolve
Technologies We Use
  • TypeScript and React with Next.js for frontend development
  • A combination of open-source and internal technologies that suit the problems at hand
  • Fast content delivery
  • Industry-standard build tooling, including GitHub and CircleCI
What We Value
  • Eye for detail: part of the role is making sure the content being brought forward cleanly aligns with other content on the website
  • Design sensibility: keeping every web touchpoint of the brand coherent and well presented
  • Cross‑functional communication: working across the whole business bringing other teams' stories forward; the ability to translate between non-technical stakeholders and implementation matters
  • Juggling priorities: ability to move several projects forward at once without dropping quality on any of them
  • Ownership: this role carries a lot of independence, and with it responsibility for the outcomes that independence produces
  • A drive to raise the level around you: teaching teammates and building things others can run with
What We Require
  • 2 Years of experience with frontend design
  • Web fundamentals: accessibility, performance, uptime, SEO
  • Frontend proficiency: TypeScript, React, Next.js
  • Design/visual competence: Figma fluency, ability to take mocks to production
Salary

The salary range for this position is estimated to be $70,000 - $120,000/year. Total compensation for this position may also include Restricted Stock units, sign‑on bonus and other potential future incentives.

  • Employees (and their eligible dependents) can enroll in medical, dental, and vision insurance as well as voluntary life insurance
  • Employees are automatically covered by Palantir's basic life, AD&D and disability insurance
  • Commuter benefits
  • Take what you need paid time off, not accrual based
  • 2 weeks paid time off built into the end of each year (subject to team and business needs)
  • 10 paid holidays throughout the calendar year
  • Supportive leave of absence program including time off for military service and medical events
  • Paid leave for new parents and subsidized back-up care for all parents
  • Fertility and family building benefits including but not limited to adoption, surrogacy, and preservation
  • Stipend to help with expenses that come with a new child
  • Employees can enroll in Palantir's 401k plan
Work Location

We believe employees are "better together" and in-person work affords the opportunity for more creative outcomes. Therefore, we encourage employees to work from our offices to foster connectivity and innovation. Many teams do offer hybrid options (WFH a day or two a week), allowing our employees to strike the right trade‑off for their personal productivity. Based on business need, there are a few roles that allow for "Remote" work on an exceptional basis. If you are applying for one of these roles, you must work from the state in which you are employed. If the posting is specified as Onsite, you are required to work from an office.
