Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a Web Content Specialist to manage content across agency sites and intranets in the National Capital Region. You will edit, write, and proofread material for diverse audiences and ensure accessibility and branding standards.

The role requires 5–7 years of overall experience with web content management and a U.S. Citizenship; a Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or related field is preferred. Onsite work in DC/VA is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in English, Communications, Marketing, Business, or in a related discipline.
  • 5-7 years total experience, with 3 of last 5 years in web content management.
  • U.S. Citizenship required for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional writing, editing, and proofreading services for diverse audiences and channels.
  • Create and refine publication materials and Public Roads magazine content with QA and version control.
  • Provide deliverables including marketing plans, newsletters, flyers, brochures, fact sheets, guides, posters, and web content.
  • Edit and format publications to meet branding, style, and accessibility standards.
  • Use CMS to upload, maintain, and post content on agency websites and intranets.
  • Optimize text for SEO and ensure compliance with Section 508 accessibility laws.
