Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a PHP/JavaScript developer to design, build, and maintain a company website in Maryland. You will drive architectural integrity, deliver clean code, and collaborate with marketing and development teams to implement robust web solutions.

The role requires a strong PHP 8.2+ and MySQL background, experience with Vue, GitHub workflows, and MVC frameworks; Laravel Cloud knowledge is a plus. On-site work in Maryland is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of PHP 8.2+, MySQL, JavaScript, Vue, and GitHub workflows.
• Familiarity with Laravel (Cloud) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Consult with users to determine system specifications.
• Design, create, produce, implement and maintain company web site based on user design specifications.
• Ensure system integrity by utilizing proper architectural designs.
• Responsible for maintaining the Operating System.
• Ensure that all design elements, templates and finished solutions work within a variety of browser types and screen settings along with the constraints set by development and design.
• Responsible for developing, managing and supporting system level architecture.
• Test, debug and maintain the service architecture throughout the product lifecycle.
• Oversees application coding and provides technical expertise.
• Work with marketing and development staff on style and approach for web site projects.
• Provide design elements, comps, templates, and finished solutions.
• Write, analyze, debug, and deliver clean, validated, maintainable code.
• Participate in efforts to improve quality of the web site as required.
• Responsible for managing system performance and recommending enhancement to improve the site.
• Address concerns or problems with usage on the web site.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or technical school, or equivalent relevant experience
• Knowledge of PHP 8.2+, MySQL Database, JavaScript, Vue, continuous delivery workflows (GitHub), MVC frameworks (Zend) nodjs bun vite, Git/GutHub, Pest.
• Knowledge of Laravel Cloud is a plus
