Job summary

Shrive Technologies is seeking a Web Application / DevOps Architect to drive the development architecture and middleware strategy for our digital platforms. You will design resilient frameworks, distributed messaging, and data routing while bridging developers and infra teams.

You will champion DevEx automation, API governance, caching strategies, and CI/CD pipelines to enable blue-green deployments and faster releases across services.

Qualifications

• Expertise in full-stack backend languages (Node.js, Java/Spring Boot, Go, or Python).
• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS EventBridge.
• Hands-on with API Gateways: Kong, Apigee, NGINX, or Envoy.
• Knowledge of Redis, Memcached, or Hazelcast for caching.
• Proficient with Docker and Kubernetes; service-mesh knowledge with Istio/Linkerd.

Responsibilities

• Design modular web app structures using microservices and event-driven patterns.
• Architect and manage enterprise middleware and data distribution fabrics.
• Build DevEx automation, including containerized dev stacks and tests.
• Define API strategy, governance, and versioning across platforms.
• Design distributed caching and connection pooling to reduce latency.

We are seeking a highly skilled Web Application / DevOps Architect to drive the development architecture and middleware strategy of our digital platforms. In this role, you will spend less time on basic cloud administration and more time designing resilient application frameworks, distributed messaging systems, and data routing layers. You will serve as the technical bridge between core application developers and infrastructure engineers, ensuring that code architectures natively leverage DevOps automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Application Framework Architecture: Design modular, scalable web application structures utilizing microservices, event-driven architectures, and domain-driven design principles.
• Middleware & Integration Engineering: Architect and manage enterprise middleware, including message brokers, API gateways, enterprise service buses (ESBs), and data distribution fabrics.
• Developer Experience (DevEx) Automation: Build local development environments (e.g., containerized dev stacks) and automated testing gates to accelerate daily engineering workflows.
• API Strategy & Governance: Establish high-performance API architectures, cross-service communication protocols, and strict versioning standards across all platforms.
• State & Cache Optimization: Design distributed caching strategies, session management flows, and database connection pooling to minimize application latency.
• Continuous Code Delivery: Collaboratively build automated CI/CD pipelines that handle complex code builds, integration testing, and blue-green application deployments.

Required Technical Skills

• Application Development: Deep expertise in full-stack backend languages like Node.js, Java (Spring Boot), Go, or Python (FastAPI).
• Messaging & Event Middleware: Advanced proficiency with message queues and event streaming systems such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS EventBridge.
• API Management: Hands-on experience configuring API Gateways and proxies like Kong, Apigee, NGINX, or Envoy.
• Data & Caching Layers: Expert knowledge of distributed caches and data grids, specifically Redis, Memcached, or Hazelcast.
• Container Integration: Master-level skills in Docker and Kubernetes, specifically optimizing container lifecycle events and service-mesh communications (e.g., Istio, Linkerd).
