Job summary

Kiakahi, LLC is seeking a skilled web designer/developer to implement designs across CMS/ecommerce platforms and ensure accessibility requirements are met. You will navigate and modify complex web codebases, troubleshoot issues, and deliver both web apps and static pages per customer specifications.

Strong documentation, change management, and DoD-related certifications are required. Position located at Fort Hood, TX.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline preferred
• 4+ years of experience in web design and development and information technology preferred
• Must possess IT I level certification IAW AR 25-2 and an IAT II certification IAW DoD 8570.01-M
• Microsoft Certified Internet Webmaster Designer certification preferred
• Proficiency with web editing software (Dreamweaver, Web Matrix, Visual Studio .Net, Flash, Illustrator, Photoshop, Fireworks, FrontPage)
• Knowledge of technical and non-technical communication; ability to develop system design documentation
• Ability to restructure/redevelop web sites and upgrade framework and coding as needed
• CompTIA Security+ required, Microsoft Certified Internet Webmaster Designer certification preferred
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record

Key Responsibilities

• Experience developing markup templates for use in content management systems and ecommerce systems
• Must be able to implement design onto our website.
• Confidently and quickly able to navigate around and work within an unfamiliar codebase
• Able to troubleshoot and debug complex websites
• Ensure that covered web pages meet the requirements of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended.
• Develop and implement Web sites per customer requirements, including web applications and static web pages; design, develop, and implement web projects authorized in response to Government analysis, action and decision
• Maintain and modify complex systems documentation and user guides and interpret information, and provide recommendation(s) for resolving documentation conflicts
• Provide a formal web application change management process to deploy and maintain web sites, portals, web pages, and customized applications.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge and experience communicating web development concepts to technical and non-technical personnel; ability to develop technical documents and produce system design documentation.
• Possess knowledge of pertinent system software and computer equipment, using best business practices and applicable regulations.
• Ability to re-structure/re-develop web sites and upgrade framework and coding required on a case-by-case basis.
• CompTIA Security+ required, Microsoft Certified Internet Webmaster Designer certification preferred.
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Security Clearance

Position requires a DoD secret security clearance. Must be a US citizen. Location: Fort Hood, TX

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. May include lifting weight up to thirty (30) pounds as necessary.
