Job summary

Meta is seeking a Research Scientist Manager to lead teams advancing AI for wearables and health. You will guide ML research and engineering for sensor fusion, biometric modeling, and on-device deployment, partnering with hardware, product, and data science groups.

You will shape the research strategy for health AI experiences, translate findings into product features, recruit and mentor researchers, and ensure rigorous, privacy-conscious practices across projects, delivering health improvements

Qualifications

• 8+ years in machine learning research or applied ML.
• 4+ years managing research or engineering teams.
• Experience shaping research strategy and roadmap.
• Ability to translate ML research into product outcomes for consumer devices.
• Experience partnering with hardware, product, and data science teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple teams of researchers and engineers focused on AI for wearables and health.
• Define and drive the research strategy and roadmap for health AI and wearables.
• Guide experimental design, model architecture decisions for on-device deployment.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate advances into product improvements.
• Recruit and retain researchers and leaders with health AI expertise.
• Identify and mitigate execution risks across research projects.
• Champion rigorous, ethical AI practices and privacy-conscious health data.
• Provide feedback on performance and scientific depth.
• Communicate priorities and strategic implications to leadership.
