Job summary

Ixana, a Purdue University spinoff, is seeking engineers to design and prototype embedded hardware for wearable devices with FPGA-based systems. You will work on sensor interfaces, power management, and real-time signal processing at our West Lafayette HQ.

The role emphasizes hands‑on prototyping, board bring‑up, and cross‑functional collaboration with design, product architecture, and supply chain teams. On‑site, with relocation and visa sponsorship available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields.
• Strong interest in embedded hardware, PCB design, and FPGA development.
• Familiarity with digital logic design using VHDL/Verilog or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of analog circuit design and debugging.

Responsibilities

• Design, simulate, and prototype embedded hardware solutions for wearable and biomedical applications.
• Work with FPGAs to implement and test custom logic for sensor interfacing, power management, and signal processing.
• Participate in schematics, multilayer PCB layout, and full system integration.
• Collaborate with industrial design, product architecture, and supply chain teams.
• Specify components, build custom circuits, and adapt vendor reference designs.
• Assist in validation, bring‑up, testing, and launch of smart devices such as smart glasses, rings, watches, sensors, and FPGA‑based systems.
• Support documentation and debugging at both board and FPGA logic levels.
