Job summary

Textron Systems is offering a 10-week summer internship in Wilmington, MA for a Mechanical Engineer Intern focused on weapons. You will gain hands-on experience on next generation technologies and proven platforms that protect warfighters, with mentorship and real project work.

To qualify you must be a U.S. citizen eligible to obtain a security clearance and currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS in mechanical engineering or related field; or less than 2 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support on next generation technologies and proven platforms for the warfighter.
• Conduct research and trade studies, develop design concepts, perform calculations and analysis, and assist with testing and troubleshooting.
• Engage in modeling, analysis, fabrication and assembly, structural design, fastening and joining, and use of measurement tools.
