Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has multiple openings for a Weapons Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL.

The Weapons Engineer is expected to design and test products, manage requirements, and integrate systems across development, demonstration, and production phases, leveraging MIL-STD-1553, MIL-STD-1760, and SMS/SRE standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM field with 2 years' experience or 1 year with a Master's in STEM.
  • Experience with integration and test activities including test planning, execution, and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of governing standards including Platform-Store ICD, MIL-STD-1553, MIL-STD-1760.
  • Active US Government Secret Clearance (or ability to obtain SAP clearance).
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams on weapon system development.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and testing products.
  • Perform requirements management, system integration, test plan development, and test execution across development, demonstration, and production phases.
  • Develop statements of work, specifications, and interface control documents; monitor schedules and participate in design reviews.
