Job summary

DC Army National Guard seeks a Small Arms/Artillery Repairer to maintain the electronic systems that keep weapons firing on the battlefield. You’ll train in Basic Training (10 weeks) and Advanced Individual Training (7 weeks), while earning a regular paycheck and qualifying for tuition assistance.

During service you will receive paid training, a monthly paycheck, and access to programs like the Montgomery GI Bill and tuition assistance, with benefits that include retirement for part-time service

Qualifications

• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard.
• Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be between 17 and 35 years old.
• Must pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.
• Citizenship requirements per NATIONALGUARD.com.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the electronic systems that keep weapons firing for the Army National Guard.
• Learn to work with electronics, mechanical principles, and weapon-related systems.
• Complete Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training (10 weeks + 7 weeks).
