Job summary

Fifth Third Bank is seeking a Business Transition Senior Strategist to serve as the wealth planning expert for high-net-worth clients, especially owners of closely held entities. You will lead integrated wealth and business transition strategies across pre- and post-transaction phases, partnering with WMAs, Commercial Relationship Managers, and Investment Banking teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 10+ years of experience in wealth planning or related professional services.
• Advanced knowledge of estate, tax, investment, and business transition planning concepts.

Responsibilities

• Partner with WMAs and partners to acquire and retain key client relationships with a focus on business owners.
• Assess transition readiness, identify risks and opportunities, and develop customized transition strategies.
• Align business transition plans with personal wealth strategies and estate planning.
• Lead development of integrated wealth plans across estate, tax, investment, risk, insurance, and cash flow.
• Model financial and tax implications of transition scenarios (sale, transfer, recapitalization).
• Coordinate preparation and review of client deliverables and presentations.
• Present recommendations and coordinate execution with internal and external advisors.
• Lead a coordinated team approach across Wealth Management, Commercial, and Investment Banking.
