Job summary

BNY Mellon seeks a Director, Wealth Technology Control Manager in NYC to lead the design, effectiveness, and continuous improvement of the technology control environment across Wealth Engineering. You will collaborate with engineering, architecture, cybersecurity, Technology Risk, Compliance and Internal Audit to embed controls in the SDLC and ensure a culture of ownership.

Qualifications

• Extensive technology risk and engineering leadership experience within regulated financial services.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, DevSecOps, IAM, change/configuration management, vendor integrations and resilience.
• Experience implementing controls across cloud platforms, microservices, APIs, Kubernetes and secure software supply chains.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product, architecture, cybersecurity and engineering to perform risk assessments and communicate findings to governance forums.
• Assess and manage technology risks across platforms, data, cloud services and third party integrations; define robust mitigation strategies.
• Enforce policy alignment to regulatory requirements and maintain informed understanding of Wealth Engineering architecture and cloud design principles.
• Narrate technology control dashboards and indicators for senior leadership and governance committees.
• Produce quarterly risk and control assessments; provide a comprehensive view of risk posture and control effectiveness.
• Prioritize remediation of known risks, audit findings and control gaps; drive root cause analysis to strengthen controls.
• Provide SME guidance on control design across SDLC, DevSecOps, IAM, secrets governance, cloud security and operational resilience.
• Develop metrics and reporting to support risk narratives and remediation activity.
• Oversee defect, vulnerability and control break management; improve processes to reduce recurrence.
