HSBC is actively seeking a Wealth Relationship Manager to collaborate with a Wealth Relationship Officer and service teams. You will build meaningful relationships with high-value clients, advising on banking, investments and insurance to meet objectives and risk preferences.

You will deepen client relationships, expand wallet share, and cultivate referrals while working with Compliance, Credit and Risk to maintain a balanced risk profile.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses required (or 63 and 65).
  • Life and Health insurance licenses required.
  • Experience in nontraditional banking financial sales and managing high-net-worth client portfolios.
  • Strong wealth planning knowledge and understanding of macro/microeconomics and regulatory framework.
  • Strong relationship development and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with Compliance, Credit & Risk and Internal Control to balance risk.

The Opportunity

As a Wealth Relationship Manager, you’ll work closely with a Wealth Relationship Officer and service teams to build meaningful relationships with high-value clients. The role focuses on acquiring, developing, advising and retaining a portfolio through strong fundamentals in wealth planning. You’ll provide solutions across banking, investments and insurance based on each client’s objectives, risk tolerance and appropriate asset allocations. Success means deepening relationships, increasing wallet share and building a strong pipeline through referrals and community connections. You’ll also partner with Compliance, Credit and Risk and Internal Control to support a balanced risk operating environment.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Provide financial solutions and opportunities with our portfolio of clients
  • Increase wallet share of existing clients and identify product opportunities within the business
  • Conduct full needs assessments with current and potential Wealth customers and recommend appropriate banking, investment and insurance products and services to meet individual needs, based on objectives, risk tolerance and proper asset allocations
  • Represent the Company in community organizations and activities to enhance the Company’s image and maintain and grow a referral network for additional relationship opportunities while maintaining an active prospect pipeline
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, related field or equivalent experience
  • FINRA Series 7 and 66 (or 63 and 65) licensing required
  • Life and Health insurance licenses required
  • Language skill is a plus
  • Meaningful experience in nontraditional banking financial sales, providing client recommendations and increasing sales, and building and maintaining valuable relationships with high-net-worth client portfolios
  • Expert knowledge in wealth planning and wealth products, the impact of macroeconomics/microeconomics/local market developments, and of external regulatory framework relevant to wealth management
  • Strong client focuses and ability to deliver needs-based solutions through effective communication, influencing, and sales skills
  • Ability to demonstrate strong relationship deepening skills with existing client base to build and grow relationships and develop referral sources
  • Strong business development skills to work with outside COIs to develop self-sourced business
  • Self-Motivated and Self-driven individual with strong relationships and communications skills
  • Good understanding of how to work with Compliance, Credit & Risk and Internal Control to ensure a balanced risk operating environment

Your final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and several variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.
