Job summary

Bank of America in Melville, NY is seeking a Senior Portfolio Manager to work with high-net-worth clients, designing and managing discretionary investment strategies under the guidance of a Portfolio Manager.

You will evaluate asset allocation, security and manager selection, risk management, and proactive client communication while partnering with teammates to deliver integrated solutions and maintain meaningful relationships with the highest care, skill and ethics.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of investment decision making and financial consulting experience working with high-net-worth and ultra-high net worth clients
• Has held positions of increasing responsibility with an established financial services firm, likely in wealth management/private banking/trust
• Knowledge of fiduciary and financial products and services through related work experience
• Broad-based technical knowledge of investments, tax, legal and operations to service clients
• Knowledge of fiduciary standards and applicable laws/regulations usually acquired through training or seminars
• Skills and experience in negotiating, delegating, leadership, superior client service and relationship management

Responsibilities

• Partners with teammates to understand the client’s situation and develop an investment strategy tailored to their goals
• Supports aspects of the client’s investment portfolio including asset allocation, portfolio construction, security/manager selection, trade execution, risk management and compliance
• Collaborates with teammates to deliver the bank’s full array of integrated solutions
• Engages with clients to review investment performance and market changes
• Stays up-to-date on recommendations from CIP and market conditions to mitigate investment risks
