Job summary

TIAA is seeking a Wealth Management Director in the Ames, IA area to lead an integrated team of advisors and grow client relationships within the market. You will execute strategic business plans, ensure a seamless client experience, and coach advisors to deliver comprehensive financial guidance.

The role requires deep experience in wealth management, FINRA licensing, and strong leadership to develop talent and drive results across the client base and internal resources.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in the financial services industry
• FINRA licensing required: Series 7 and Series 66, (or an equivalent combination of Series 63 and Series 65)

Responsibilities

• Oversight and management of an assigned group of Wealth Management Advisors.
• Grows and maintains strong client and participant relationships evidenced through increased wallet share, product appropriateness, and net promoter scores.
• Ensures the delivery of a seamless client experience through coaching the team to adopt the prescribed engagement practices.
• Establishes relationships across touch points to ensure advocacy for client/participant needs.
• Ensures client facing advisors utilize TIAA’s resources including estate planning, portfolio management, and insurance planning.
• Evaluates and assigns Advisors appropriate books of clients; assists in reviewing planning and advice cases for complex client accounts.
• Implements strategies to increase market share.
• Helps chart strategy and direction for the wealth management group and understands competitors.
