Job summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking a Defined Contribution Analyst/Associate to support OCIO client portfolios and investment menus for Defined Contribution clients.

You will work with Portfolio Managers, use wealth planning tools, perform analyses, and help prepare client reports and RFP responses.

Qualifications include an undergraduate degree and FINRA Series 7/66 (or 63/65) or willingness to obtain within 180 days; strong Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills.

Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (“OCIO”) group partners with Morgan Stanley Financial Advisors across all channels to offer full discretion portfolio management services to institutional and private clients (e.g., Defined Contribution plans, Defined Benefit plans, Endowments, Foundations, Ultra-High Net-Worth, Family Offices, etc.) of Morgan Stanley Wealth Management.

Responsibilities

• Support Portfolio Managers to build and manage client investment menus and portfolios for OCIO’s Defined Contribution clients
• Learn and utilize Morgan Stanley systems, like wealth planning and portfolio analysis tools (i.e. Morningstar, eVestment, etc.).
• Conduct analytical work at the request of Portfolio Managers on the OCIO Defined Contribution team, including portfolio, manager selection, trade, and ad hoc investment analyses.
• Interface with internal and external partners, including research, trading, operations, product specialists, third-party vendors, investment managers, custodians, and recordkeepers.
• Support the production of intellectual capital, client reporting materials, and industry commentary.
• Contribute to Defined Contribution new business development efforts, including support for RFP responses and production of prospect-facing content.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $70,000 and $115,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
