Job summary

Nuveen is seeking a Wealth Management Advisor to build a high-quality practice by serving affluent clients with fiduciary financial strategies. You will partner with clients, understand goals, and guide them through retirement, while leveraging TIAA's comprehensive wealth-management capabilities.

You will proactively grow your book, collaborate with internal specialists, and deliver tailored recommendations.

  • Required: 5+ years managing a book of business with affluent clients.
  • Deep knowledge of investment solutions and financial planning.

Powered by Your Practice.As a Wealth Management Advisor , you will develop a high-quality wealth management practice by managing and deepening relationships with an established book of high-net-worth clients. You will:Partner with clients to understand their goals and deliver tailored financial strategies, always acting as a fiduciary and in their best interestsServe as the primary financial contact, navigating complex situations and guiding clients through and into retirementProactively grow your practice by expanding existing relationships and engaging TIAA's full wealth management capabilitiesCollaborate with internal specialists to deliver comprehensive recommendations and anticipate client needsBring a thoughtful, creative, and entrepreneurial approach to practice growth — always centered on what's best for your clientsThe Experience You BringRequired:5+ years of experience managing a book of business and building long-lasting relationships with affluent clientsDeep knowledge of investment solutions and financial planningExceptional people skills - engage clients with authenticity, build trust naturally, and always act in their best interestsSolutions-oriented mindset with the drive to make a meaningful difference in clients' financial livesThrives with both autonomy and accountabilityFINRA Series 7 and Series 63; Series 65 or 66Life and Health Insurance License — all licenses must be obtained within 120 days of start datePreferred:Life and Health Insurance License (Resident State) Multiple Issuers requiredCertified Financial Planner (CFP) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level I. If you do not currently hold either designation, TIAA will cover the cost of obtaining one and increase your base salary upon successful completionRewarding the Practice You BuildThis is a sales role — in addition to base salary, you are eligible for a competitive variable compensation package tied to your book of business, sales performance, and key performance metrics. Your total compensation extends well beyond base salary and grows as your practice grows.
