Job summary

Corient is seeking an entry-level Associate Wealth Advisor to support client planning and meetings in our San Francisco office. You will help prepare financial plans, investment reports, tax and estate analyses, and coordinate client service under senior advisors.

This role requires strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and professionalism. You will gain hands-on experience with Salesforce, planning software, and Microsoft Office while pursuing CFP credentials and growing

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of financial planning, investment, and client relationship skills.
  • Experience with custodian interaction.
  • Proficiency with back-office processes and custodians.
  • Strong written and oral communication.
  • High attention to detail and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Completes financial plans, investment reports, tax and estate analyses as requested.
  • Prepare for and participate in client meetings, documenting task items and coordinating client service execution.
  • Gather data and information, and bring observations to Lead Advisors regarding clients.
  • Attend networking events and build relationships with COI peers.
  • Observe and learn complex planning under supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Increasing level of financial planning and investment knowledge through practice and advancing responsibility of planning teams and Wealth Advisors
  • Completes financial plans, investment reports, tax and estate analysis as requested
  • Vast majority of time is spent preparing for and in client meetings documenting task items and coordinating client service execution under the Associate Wealth Advisors and/or Wealth Advisor
  • Data and information gathering
  • Brings forth observations to Lead Advisors regarding clients
  • Limited oversight on simple projects and plans
  • Observing and learning complex planning
  • Attends networking events and begins to build relationships in the community and with COI peers
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Basic level knowledge of financial planning, investment, and client relationship skills
  • Technology: Salesforce, Portfolio Accounting Software, DocuSign, Microsoft Suite, Planning Software
  • Experience with custodian interaction
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and consistency

  • Bachelors' degree in related field and working towards obtaining CFP credentials
  • Typically, 0-3 years’ experience

Pay Information

This position is exempt and is paid according to the laws of the State of California or Utah depending on final position location. The pay range for this position is $65,800 - $106,000.00 USD per year. We are required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the physical capabilities to work in an office environment, which may include prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Corient seeks to make reasonable accommodations that enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential duties when possible. This position may require the ability to lift up to 15 pounds. This position is required to work onsite 4 days per week.

U.S. Eligibility Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older. Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States. For U.S. employment opportunities, Corient hires U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Exceptions to these requirements will be determined based on shortage of qualified candidates with a particular skill. Corient will require proof of work authorization. Corient participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the U.S. If E-Verify cannot confirm that you are authorized to work, this employer is required to give you written instructions and an opportunity to contact Department of Homeland Security (DHS) or Social Security Administration (SSA) so you can begin to resolve the issue before the employer can take any action against you, including terminating your employment.
