Job summary

Hightower in Houston is seeking a Wealth Advisor to work with experienced advisors to serve high-net-worth individuals, families, executives, and business owners. You will help deliver personalized wealth management solutions, participate in financial planning, and support client relationships.

Ideal candidates have a Finance-related degree, 5+ years in wealth management, CFP in progress or completed, and fluency with planning and CRM tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years in wealth management, financial planning, or related advisory experience; portable book a plus.
  • CFP designation completed, in progress, or willingness to pursue.
  • Knowledge of financial planning concepts, investment management, and retirement planning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with a client-service mindset.
  • Experience with financial planning and CRM tools such as eMoney, MoneyGuidePro, Salesforce.
  • FINRA Series 7 & 66 license or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Lead Wealth Advisors in client relationships and wealth management services.
  • Prepare financial plans, retirement projections, cash flow analyses, and estate summaries.
  • Participate in client meetings: agendas, documentation, notes, and follow-up.
  • Analyze client data and provide recommendations on investment and retirement strategies.
  • Monitor portfolios and assist with reviews, rebalancing, and implementation.

We believe exceptional wealth management starts with meaningful relationships. As a Wealth Advisor, you will work closely with experienced advisors to support high-net-worth individuals, families, executives, business owners, and other clients in achieving their financial goals.

In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in financial planning, investment management, client relationship development, and wealth management strategy. You will collaborate with advisors and client service professionals to deliver a personalized client experience while developing the skills needed to advance into a Wealth Advisor, Executive Director role.

What You'll Do

The Wealth Advisor supports advisors and clients by helping provide personalized wealth management solutions and ensuring a high-quality client experience. You will combine financial planning, investment analysis, relationship management, and operational support.

  • Assist Lead Wealth Advisors in managing client relationships and delivering comprehensive wealth management services
  • Prepare financial plans, retirement projections, cash flow analyses, and estate planning summaries using firm approved planning software
  • Participate in client meetings by preparing agendas, gathering documentation, taking notes, and assisting with follow up items
  • Analyze client financial data and provide recommendations to support investment, retirement, tax, and estate planning strategies
  • Monitor client portfolios and assist with investment reviews, rebalancing, and implementation of advisor recommendations
  • Collaborate with custodians, attorneys, accountants, and other professional partners to facilitate client needs
  • Respond to client inquiries and service requests
  • Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance with regulatory and firm requirements
  • Support business development efforts through prospect meeting preparation, presentation materials, and follow up activities
  • Stay current on financial planning concepts, investment strategies, and industry developments
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in wealth management, financial planning, investment advisory, or financial service; portable book of business would be a plus
  • CFP designation completed, in progress, or willingness to pursue
  • Working knowledge of financial planning concepts, investment management principles, and retirement planning strategies
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a client service mindset
  • Experience with financial planning and CRM software such as eMoney, MoneyGuidePro, Salesforce, or similar platforms
  • FINRA Series 7& 66 license or ability to obtain within 6 months
