Wilmington Trust, Portsmouth, NH, seeks a Wealth Advisor to serve as the primary relationship manager for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners, coordinating a team of specialists to deliver tailored wealth management solutions.
You will develop new client relationships, deepen existing ones, and lead the delivery of planning, investment, fiduciary, banking, and credit strategies, ensuring a seamless, personalized client experience across the bank.
At Wilmington Trust, the Wealth Advisor serves as the primary relationship manager and trusted advisor for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net worth individuals, families, and business owners, helping clients navigate complex financial decisions and achieve their long-term goals. Acting as the quarterback of the entire wealth relationship, the Wealth Advisor brings together a team of specialists to deliver a coordinated and comprehensive wealth management experience tailored to each client’s unique needs.
This role is responsible for developing new client relationships, deepening existing relationships, and leading the delivery of customized planning, investment, trust, fiduciary, banking, and credit solutions. The Wealth Advisor is a highly visible business partner who collaborates closely with colleagues across Wealth Management and the Community Bank to identify opportunities, enhance client relationships, and ensure a seamless client experience.
Key Responsibilities
The Wealth Advisor plays a critical role in driving growth across the Wealth Advisory business while strengthening relationships throughout the bank. Success in this role is achieved not only through new business development and revenue generation, but also through the ability to build trusted relationships, coordinate internal resources, and deliver a highly personalized client experience that reflects the full value of the M&T and Wilmington Trust franchise.
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 7 years’ sales experience in the financial services industry; or, in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 11 years’ higher education and/or work experience.
Minimum of 3 years’ sales experience in the high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth client segment.
Proven track record of implementing wealth management strategies.
Securities licensing, CFP, CTFA, CPA designation
MBA (Master’s degree in Business Administration) or JD (Juris Doctor)
