Job summary

Walt Disney Imagineering invites you to join the Menu Planning intern team in Orlando or Glendale. You will analyze experience development and performance data and provide business tools and analytical insights, reporting to the Senior Manager, Menu Planning and Development.

The role emphasizes data analytics, data management, and presenting results with charts and visuals. You will support planning materials from draft to final form and participate in industry insights research.

Qualifications

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting.
  • Be at least 18 years of age and have unrestricted work authorization.
  • Demonstrate strong data analytics and MS Office proficiency.
  • Able to synthesize complex information and communicate clearly in a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

  • Apply data analytics to address business problems and provide insights for creative investments.
  • Source and maintain product data for global park assets including performance and metrics.
  • Analyze data sets to identify trends using forecasting and optimization techniques.
  • Present results with charts, graphics, and clear verbiage.
  • Consolidate findings to inform future development decisions.
  • Support research questions, industry insights and ad-hoc projects.
  • Assist in producing planning materials from early draft to final form.

The approximate date of this internship is January 2027 to June 2027 and will be located in Orlando, FL or Glendale, CA.

As a Menu Planning intern, you will support the WDI Menu Planning & Partnership Planning group within the Global Creative Strategy Studio by analyzing experience development and performance data and providing valuable business tools and analytical insights! This role will report to Senior Manager, Menu Planning and Development


What You Will Do


  • Apply data analytics to address sophisticated business problems and provide key insights to WDI leaders to make more informed creative investment decisions


  • Source, input, and maintain relevant product data for global park experience assets including operational performance, consumer insights, financial metrics, etc. Identify gaps and work to leverage partner input. Improve process for sustaining data management


  • Analyze data sets to identify trends and insights using different analytical techniques (ex. statistics, forecasting, optimization)


  • Communicate results through compelling presentations by tying together logical aspects of the story with graphics, charts, and verbiage


  • Consolidate findings from recently opened experiences to help improve future development decisions


  • Support the team in research questions, industry insights and trends analysis, and ad-hoc projects


  • Strategically assist in producing planning materials and analysis – from early draft to final form



Required Qualifications & Skills


  • Be comfortable in speaking and sharing ideas in a highly collaborative team environment


  • Strong eye for visual/graphic methods of communication


  • Ability to synthesize and convey complex information in a concise way


  • Detail-orientation, planning, editing/proofreading, and organization skills


  • Ability to successfully multi-task and excel in a fast-paced environment with multiple assignments


  • Willing and able to quickly grasp and learn new concepts and the relationship of those concepts


  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite including advanced Excel skills



Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience with data visualization tools e.g., Tableau and Airtable (or similar)


  • Experience with presentation tools e.g., Keynote, PowerPoint


  • Experience with AI tools e.g., Claude


  • Broad understanding of The Walt Disney Company, Disney Experiences, and the theme park industry



Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:


  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship


  • Be at least 18 years of age


  • Possess unrestricted work authorization


  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.



Additional Information


  • Able to provide reliable transportation to/from work


  • Must be fully available for the duration of the internship


  • Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship in Glendale, CA

The pay rate for this role in Glendale, CA and Orlando, FL is $26.50 per hour for undergraduate students and $27.50 per hour for graduate level students. Select benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, such as medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
