Job summary

Walt Disney Imagineering in Anaheim, CA is offering a Construction Management Internship for Jan 2027–Jun 2027. The role supports project construction efforts across diverse projects and collaborates with vendors, contractors and internal teams to deliver on budget, schedule, quality and safety.

You will gain exposure to QA/QC, RFI, submittals, coordination with CM/MEP teams, and hands-on experience in framing, drawings, and project close-out processes within a world-renowned resort environment.

Qualifications

• Understanding of the Project Development process.
• Understanding of scheduling, budgeting and quality control.
• Expanded computer proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and the Internet.
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Handle an entire scope of a small project or a specific scope of work within financial parameters and high-quality standards.
• Coordinate, schedule and lead QA/QC via pre-pour/pre-cover inspections.
• Familiarize yourself with Construction Management roles, responsibilities and standard practices.
• Shadow employees to observe Structural and MEP coordination, installation and close-out procedures.
• Determine needs for critical issues requiring multiple design team involvement and schedule meetings to resolve them.
• Work closely with trades to understand design, interpretation and implementation of Framing/MEP drawings.
• Gain exposure to document control, RFIs, submittals, punch-list planning and schedule tracking.
• Make recommendations for product and people conflict resolution and problem solving within their scope.

What You Will Do

As a Construction ManagementInternyou will, under supervision,be responsible forhandling project construction efforts ranging from a small scope on a project tomultiplehighly sophisticatedportfolioof diverse projects. The intern may act as a point of contact with construction vendors and contractors. They may provide technicalexpertiseand help handle internal relationships within various departments, as well as external vendors and contractor relationships. You willassistin delivering projectsin accordance withbudget, schedule,qualityand safety. This individual may regularly collaborate with creative, technical,engineeringand construction teams in delivery efforts throughout the life of the project.You will have the opportunity to:

• Handle an entire scope of a small project or a specific scope of work (i.e., guest rooms, small improvement projects, graphics, FF&A, restaurant, retail etc.) which is self-contained and definable, within financial parameters and to high-quality standards of the team
• Coordinate, schedule and lead Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) via pre-pour/pre-cover inspections
• Familiarize yourself and understand the Construction Management (CM) roles,responsibilitiesand standard practices
• Shadow employees toobserveStructural and Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing (MEP) coordination,installationand close-out procedures
• Determinea need for critical, time sensitive issue(s) that require multiple design team involvement, then schedule andfacilitatea meeting(s) to come to resolution on the issue(s)
• Work closely with various trades to gain a better understanding of design,comprehensionand implementation of Framing/MEP drawings
• Gain exposure to other miscellaneous construction management responsibilitiessuch as:document control, RFI, submittals, punch-listplanningand schedule tracking
• Make recommendations for product and people conflict resolution and problem solving on project within their scope

Required Qualifications & Skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previousrelated experience in a professional work setting

Education

Currently enrolledas aJunior or higherattendingan accredited college/university earning a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meetall ofthe below requirements:

• Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currentlyparticipatingin a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Possess unrestricted work authorization
• Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program

• Must be fully available for the duration of the internship

The pay rate for this role in California is $31 per hour for undergraduate students, $36 per hour for graduate students.
