Job summary

Bahakel Communications is seeking an experienced technical operator to ensure clean and seamless execution of our newscasts. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year directing live news, or 3 years of LIVE technical experience in Audio, Studio, Graphics, or Master Control.

The role requires detail orientation and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, with strong interdepartmental communication skills and flexibility for schedules and coverage as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the lead director, the newscast producers and production staff to improve production values.
• Direct for WCCB/WOLO News Weekends and assist on WCCB/WOLO News.
• Provide Studio support and PTO coverage as needed.
• Handle Audio, Graphics, and Master Control back-ups as assigned.
• Contribute to Sports/Entertainment technical production as needed.
• Maintain smooth, error-free technical execution of daily newscasts.

Bahakel Communications is seeking an experienced technical operator. The qualified candidate should have at least 1 year directing live news (or relevant experience) or a minimum of 3 years of LIVE technical experience (Audio/Studio/Graphics/Master Control).

This position is responsible for the clean technical execution of our newscasts. Candidate must be detail-oriented and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and have excellent interdepartmental communication skills.

• Qualified applicants must be able to work flexible schedules as determined by Bahakel’s operational needs.
• Qualified applicants must have reliable transportation to from the office.
• Qualified applicants must be able to lift/move up to 40 pounds in an active fast paced studio environment.

Primary Duties

Collaborate (to provide creative input and ideas) with the lead director, the newscast producers, and production staff in efforts to increase our overall production values.

• WCCB/WOLO News Weekends (Director).
• WCCB/WOLO News (Assistant Director/Audio/Graphics).
• WCCB Studio support (as needed).
• PTO coverage (as needed).

Secondary Duties

• Audio (3 days per week).
• Graphics (as needed).
• Studio (as needed).
