Job summary

WITRON Group in Belvidere, IL, is seeking an Electromechanical Technician to troubleshoot and repair automated material handling systems. You will perform preventive and corrective electrical and mechanical maintenance, and document work in our CMMS system to ensure optimal uptime.

Qualifications

• Electrical, mechanical training or related technical background.
• 1+ years of maintenance experience in industrial/manufacturing/automation.
• Safety-focused with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair automated equipment, including conveyors, cranes, and material handling systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective electrical and mechanical maintenance.
• Diagnose equipment issues to minimize downtime and maximize performance.
• Document work in our CMMS system.
• Support safe, efficient operations while maintaining a clean workspace.
• Participate in equipment commissioning and startup activities.

Your Role In Our Team

• Troubleshoot and repair automated equipment, including conveyors, cranes, and material handling systems
• Perform preventive and corrective electrical and mechanical maintenance
• Diagnose equipment issues to minimize downtime and maximize system performance
• Document work in our CMMS system
• Support safe, efficient operations while maintaining a clean and organized workspace
• Participate in equipment commissioning and startup activities

What We're Looking For

• Electrical, Mechanical, or related technical training
• 1+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or automation environment
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
• Basic understanding of electrical systems, motors, drives, controls, and PLCs
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Safety-focused with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Willing to travel for training out-of-state for 4-5 months (10 days away, 4 days home)

• Willing to work evenings, nights, and weekends
