NWM Risk Management is seeking a Residential Construction Inspector to visit sites within a 25-mile radius of Waynesville, NC, take on-site photos, and submit them via the Pruvan app. This contract role offers a flexible schedule and per-project pay. You must have reliable transportation and PPE gear to perform inspections.

No report writing is required; you’ll provide photo documentation and coordinate with the reporting team for completion.

About NWM Risk Management:
We partner with banks and lenders to monitor the progress of residential and commercial construction projects. Our role is to ensure that the funds being released align with the actual progress on-site. To do this, we work with local inspectors who visit construction sites, document progress through photos, and submit them via our mobile app. Our Portland-based team then compiles these into reports for lenders.

What You’ll Do

As a Residential Construction Inspector, you’ll:
1. Visit residential construction sites (single-family homes, townhomes, apartments, condos).
2. Take interior and exterior photos of all properties assigned directly through our smart phone app to provide a general overview of what has been completed on-site.
3. Submit photos through the app to the report writing team.
4. Communicate your availability and scheduling needs promptly.
5. Ensure inspections are completed within 24–48 hours of assignment.
No report writing is required, just photo documentation.

Requirements

1. Minimum years of experience: Any (no prior experience required)
2. Flexible schedule: Inspections are assigned as needed, typically with 24–48 hours’ notice, with a turn time of approximately 48 hours.
3. Reliable transportation: You’ll need a vehicle to travel to inspection sites.
4. Device Requirement:* Smartphone or tablet (iPhone or Android) compatible with the Pruvan app. Devices must be no older than 5 years* to ensure app compatibility and performance.
5. Basic construction knowledge preferred: Familiarity with residential construction is a plus.
6. PPE gear: Closed-toe shoes, long pants, and a safety vest are required.

Essential Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to navigate uneven terrain and climb stairs during site inspections. The candidate must be able to perform these functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Pay Structure

This is a contract, flat-rate position. Payment will be a flat amount depending on the project type, location, and requirements. We pay direct deposit once the progress photos are completed, processed, and approved.
