Job summary

UX Architecture Studio in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Wayfinding Designer with 3–7 years of experience to join our growing team. You will contribute to signage and wayfinding for major projects, including an international airport, and collaborate across disciplines in a small studio.

You will research, analyze conditions, develop strategies, design 2D/3D typographic layouts, produce drawings, and help keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Three to seven years of experience in wayfinding, signage, or environmental graphics.
• Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite for design development and presentation.
• Ability to read architectural drawings and work at architectural scale.
• Strong typography, color, and information design for legibility.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze existing conditions and conduct precedent studies.
• Develop wayfinding strategies rooted in how people move through space.
• Design typographic layouts, environmental graphics, and sign structures in 2D and 3D.
• Produce drawing sets with scaled drawings, sign location plans, and sign schedules.
• Map user flows and visitor journeys; coordinate with clients and project teams.
• Help keep projects on schedule and within budget; present to stakeholders.
