Job summary

Howmet Aerospace has an opening for a Wax Visual Inspector II in our Patterns Business Center at the Engines Products - Cleveland Operations Tempcraft facility in Cleveland, OH. The role ensures customer requirements are met for the Aerospace Industry prior to shipping and operates on the 2nd shift (2 p.m.

– 10:30 p.m.). Responsibilities include reading work instructions, marking defects, recording data, repairing defects, and providing feedback to improve assembly quality while adhering to EHS

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent with 5 years of visual inspection or finishing experience.
• Must successfully complete Level II classroom training and pass a proficiency test in generic and wax-specific inspection.
• Able to pass an annual eye exam per Jaeger.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand information on work instructions.
• Mark up assemblies to identify defects.
• Record data manually or by computer as required.
• Repair minor defects on assemblies.
• Provide feedback on assembly quality to wax department.
• Ensure safe work practices and that all EHS policies are followed.
• Inspect assemblies for conformance to Product Criteria and Assembly Releases and workmanship.
• Mark assemblies up for rework and communicate defects to cell leaders.
• Return assemblies for rework or repair defects as required.
• Travel between NHVS (Mentor) and Tempcraft (Cleveland) as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by Team Lead or supervisor.
