What This Role Will Be Doing

Summary: The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for driving and implementing process improvement initiatives across Waudena which is custom made and build to order manufacturing model for exterior door systems. This role will leverage various methodologies and tools to identify inefficiencies and areas for enhancement, ultimately striving for operational excellence and increased productivity.

Duties To Include (not Limited To)

  • Lead and manage continuous improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Analyze current processes and workflows to pinpoint areas of inefficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement sustainable best practices to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs and track via KPI
  • Utilize data-driven approaches to analyze operational performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on project progress and performance metrics.
  • Facilitate Kaizen events and meetings to brainstorm and strategize improvement solutions.
  • Ensure all improvement initiatives align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and drive change.

The CI Manager will possess and/or demonstrate the ability to:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams.
  • Results-oriented with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in continuous improvement and process optimization preferably in a BTO manufacturing environment, at least 5 years
  • Black Belt

Working Demands/Requirements

  • Full-time position based in the Wausau, Wisconsin.
  • Occasional travel may be required for site visits and meetings.
  • Dynamic and collaborative work environment.
