Job summary

Harford County Government in Bel Air, MD seeks a civil/environmental engineer to plan, coordinate, and oversee watershed restoration and stormwater capital projects from planning through closeout. You will review technical reports, manage CIP budgets, liaise with property owners, agencies, and the public, provide GIS support, and ensure compliance with MS4 permits while delivering projects on time.

A bachelor’s degree is required and experience in environmental engineering or science is

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering, environmental science, natural resources, urban planning, or related field.
• Experience in environmental science or engineering preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and oversees watershed restoration and stormwater CIP projects.
• Reviews technical proposals, monitors budgets, and approves project invoices.
• Communicates with engineers, property owners, agencies, and the public.
• Provides GIS support and ensures MS4 permit compliance.
• Oversees contract and construction activities through closeout.
