Job summary

Hurricane Harbor Arlington seeks a Maintenance Technician to maintain rides, pools, infrastructure, and water quality across the park. The role requires inspection of equipment, pre-opening/closing procedures, and prompt response to maintenance calls during park hours.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in maintenance at waterparks or theme parks, with skills in mechanical, plumbing and carpentry, plus the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work evenings or weekends in outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in either a waterpark or a theme park.
• General knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Experience in performing minor electrical repairs and maintenance preferred.
• The ability to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• The ability to physically climb stairs and ladders, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in heat.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operational functions related to water quality including filtration, circulation, and chemical systems.
• Perform daily inspection of facility equipment, pre-opening and closing procedures for all water rides.
• Respond to maintenance calls during park operation and document pH levels and sanitation standards.
• Assist in the maintenance and overhaul of rides, including repair and replacement of equipment.
• Adhere to all department and company safety policies.
• Work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
• All other duties as assigned.
